State plans 130 MLD water treatment plant in Bhubaneswar

The state government is planning to set up a water treatment plant in Bhubaneswar to improve the water supply to the city.

The proposed water treatment plant with a capacity of 130 MLD will be constructed with an investment of Rs 312 crore. Water Corporation of India (WCI) has been entrusted with the construction of the project on the behalf of state government. WCI has already floated a tender for the construction of the project on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) basis. The selected bidder has to complete the construction within 24 months from the date of commencement and will be responsible for operation and maintenance for a period of 24 months.
