The Union Ministry of Telecommunication has decided to install nearly 4,000 telecom towers in Odisha. The Union Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said the Center’s plan of establishment of telecom towers across the state soon.
In Odisha, as many as 6,000 villages remain out of mobile network due to lack of towers. So, to provide net connectivity to all the villages in the state, the Ministry has decided to install around 3,933 mobile towers. For this reason, an allocation of Rs 9,734 crore has been made for the state for the 2022-23 fiscal.
