TPCODL Plans Solar Pumps

TP Central Odisha Distribution (TPCODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Odisha Government is planning to establish 180 MW solar project for agricultural pumps in the state.

The project will be executed under the component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) yojana. For this purpose, TPCODL has invited bids for setting up a 180 MW Solar project for the solarization of 40,000 agricultural pumps in the state. The project will be developed under the capital expenditure (CAPEX) model. Under Component C of the PM-KUSUM scheme, the state aims to solarize 1.5 million grid-connected agriculture pumps of individual capacity up to 7.5 HP.

The successful bidder will undertake the project’s operation and maintenance for five years. The last date for submission of bids is 31 October 2022.
