SLSWCA approves 11 industrial projects in Odisha

The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) of Odisha has approved 11 industrial projects in the state.

The proposals were approved in a meeting headed by the Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena involves an estimated investment of Rs 2,840.73 crore. The projects were cover various sectors including aluminium and aluminium downstream, steel and steel downstream, chemicals and plastics, food processing and packaging, textiles and apparel, tourism and renewable energy received approvals.

These projects will be established in the districts of Balangir, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada, Sambalpur and Sundargarh.

The projects approved are as follows:

  1. RCR Steel Works Private Limited’s steel plant in Jamda, Mayurbhanj with an investment of Rs 896.98 crore
  2. Expansion of Utkal Alumina International Ltd in Rayagada from 2.25 MTPA to 2.75 MTPA with an investment of Rs 564.9 crore
  3. Expansion of Hindalco Industries Limited at aluminium smelter plant at Lapanga in Sambalpur from 360 KTPA to 400 KTPA with a cost of Rs 419.4 crore
  4. Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Ltd’s resort at Somolo Island, Chilika Lake in Ganjam district with an investment of Rs 228.45 crore
  5. Ion Exchange (India) Ltd’s manufacturing unit of 25000 MT Water Treatment Chemicals in Paradeep
  6. Ion Exchange (India) Ltd’s 30,000 MT Monomer and Polymers in Paradeep with an investment of Rs 303 crore
  7. Indian Stitches Private Limited’s fabric processing plant with an investment of Rs 100 crore in Khurda
  8. Taj SATs Ltd’s food processing and packaging units in Khurda with a cost of Rs 51 crore
  9. Indopet Polymer Pvt Ltd’s manufacturing unit for pet preform, pet bottles and plastic containers at a cost of Rs 52 crore in Khurda
  10. Vibhor Steel Tubes Pvt Ltd’s 120,000 MT ERW black and GI pipes manufacturing unit with a cost of Rs 70 crore in Sundargarh
  11. ROMCO Aluminates Private Limited’s 12 MW Solar Power Plant at Balangir with a cost of Rs 54 crore
