The Odisha Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) on its 115th meeting on 4 March 2023, given its nod to 25 industrial proposals.
During the meeting, the SLSWCA under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena cleared 25 projects with a cumulative investment of Rs 5,827.27 crore. The projects are expected to generate employment to over 25,000 people in the state.
The SLSWCA approved three projects in the Plastic Sector with a total investment of Rs 392.10 crore and expected to generate employment opportunities to 664 people of the state. Companies like Shri Maa Packaging Ltd, Chemco Plastic Industries Pvt. Ltd. and Cool Caps Industries Ltd. are set to come up with their respective units at Malipada, Khurda.
As many as eight projects approved in the Steel sector, including three projects in the steel downstream segment and two projects in the steel, ferro alloys segment. These projects are estimated to provide employment to over 3,000 people. While three of the units are set to come up at Kalinga Nagar, the rest projects will be set up in various other parts of the state including at Mandiakudar, Bonai, Lathikata, Rairangpur and Jamda. These eight projects will involve investment of Rs 2,418.49 crore.
In the food processing segment, three projects worth Rs 164.99 crore are approved, while Dodla Dairy Limited and one unit of Krupalu Kunja dairy products manufacturing units at Jagatsinghpur and Dhanpur, Korei respectively, another unit of Krupalu Kunja is set to put up a modern rice mill at Tajpur, Korei area.
One each project of Musaddilal Projects Private Limited (Scalar) and SGBL Infosystems Private Limited got approved in the infrastructure segment. These two projects to be setup in Cuttack with a total investment of 213 crore are jointly to generate 6,340 employment opportunities.
In the Hotels segment, SNM Hotels and Resorts Private Limited will establish their hotel and resort at Sahukhanata, Gop, in Puri district. The project will involve investment of Rs 80.62 crore and expected to generate employment opportunities to more than 150 people.
In the IT & ESDM segment, the SLSWCA approved two projects with a cumulative investment of Rs 203.71 crore. While D N Homes Pvt Ltd will setup a data center facility and IT infrastructure with modern amenities at Info Valley –II in Khurda district, NMDC Data Center Pvt Ltd will set up its data center which will offer co-location managed cloud hosting services at EMC Park (Info Valley). In the IT & ESDM/ green energy equipment sector Ampin Solar Private Limited got an approval to set up its manufacturing facility of solar cells and modules at EMC Park (Info Valley). Royale Hotels Private Limited will set up an IT park at Khurda with a total investment of Rs 95.96 crore.
In the pharmaceutical segment, the SLSWCA gave its nod to Tropic Resources Private Limited’s project of IV Infusion and a Mineral Water Plant at Rourkela in Sundargarh district.
DryChem India Pvt. Ltd will invest an amount of Rs 57.50 to set up manufacturing facility for gypsum plaster and gypsum Board, RMP tile adhesive and wall putty at Dhamra in Bhadrakh.
In the textile, apparel and technical textile sector, Shahi Exports Private Limited Odisha-3 (New Unit) received the nod for proposed readymade garments unit at Khurda. With an investment of Rs 250 crore, this project is expected to provide employment to 10,000 people.
In the chemical and petrochemical segment, Ngaz Paradeep Private Limited has received the approval to set up its refrigerated propane and butane (LPG) storage terminal of 2 MTPA capacity at Paradip in Jagatsinghpur. With an investment of Rs 900 crore, the project is expected to generate 600 employment opportunities.
