HLCA Odisha approves nine projects worth Rs 1.53 lakh crore

The high level clearance authority (HLCA) of Odisha headed by CM Naveen Patnaik has approved nine industrial projects to the tune of Rs 1.53 lakh crore in the state.

The projects are span across different verticals that would generate employment for over 27,000 people in the state.

The major proposals cleared by HLCA involve,

  1. ArcelorMittal’s a 7 million tpa (MTPA) steel plant in Jagatsinghpur district with an investment of Rs 38,000 crore, will generate employment to 11,000 people.
  2. Rungta Metals Private Limited’s (RMPL) expansion of its integrated steel plant from 0.5 MTPA to 1 MTPA in Rairangpur of Mayurbhanj district with an investment of Rs 1,140 crore.
  3. ACME Clean Energy Private Limited’s a green hydrogen plant and a green ammonia plant with a capacity of 1.1 million tonne, at Kujanga in Jagatsinghpur district and development of 4,500 MW solar power plants at Koraput and Kalahandi districts with investment of Rs 58,209 crore.
  4. A proposal of Avaada Green H2 Private Limited in Ganjam district, with an investment of Rs 23,500 crore. This will generate employment to around 1,500 people.
  5. Renew EFuels Private Limited’s (REFPL) green energy project with an investment of Rs 20,000 crore
  6. Ocior Energy Private Limited’s green energy project with a cost of Rs 7,200 crore.
  7. Bank Note Paper Mill India Private Limited’s (a joint venture of Government of India and RBI), a bank note paper unit at Balasore with an investment of Rs 2,500 crore. This will generate employment to around 800 people.
  8. Deevyashakti India’s proposed integrated pulp and paper mill at Dhenkanal at an investment of Rs 1,000 crore. This will generate employment to around 3,000 people.
  9. My Home Constructions Private Limited’s proposal of development of IT and Infrastructure at Khurda, with an investment of Rs 1,525 crore. This will generate employment to 2,500 people.
