State sanctions Rs 140 crore for Utility Corridor in Gopalpur

The Gopalpur Port Authority and Tata Steel SEZ is planning to develop a utility corridor in Gopalpur in Ganjam district. The state has sanctioned Rs 140 crore for the 3 km long and 60-meter wide utility corridor.

A utility corridor will be developed by Gopalpur Port and Tata Steel SEZ in Gopalpur in Ganjam district. The State Government has sanctioned Rs 140 crore for the 3 km long and 60-meter wide utility corridor. The Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) has invited tender for the construction of this proposed corridor. This corridor is likely to facilitate seamless transportation of raw materials and manufactured goods from Gopalpur port to the Tata Steel SEZ.

The proposed utility corridor is expected to be completed in 18 months and will boost industrialization in Ganjam district.
