Naveen Patnaik inaugurates, lays stone for projects in five districts 

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated and laid foundation sone for various projects in Odisha on 11 March 2024. 

The unveiled projects encompassed various infrastructural advancements, including the rejuvenation of the historic Harishankar Temple in Balangir district and the inauguration of Odisha’s lengthiest flyover spanning 3 kilometers in Joda, Keonjhar district, at a cost of Rs 258.78 crore. Additionally, a 762-meter railway over-bridge was inaugurated in Jatni Kudiary, Khordha district, valued at Rs 105 crore. The state’s longest bridge, stretching 3 kilometers over the Mahanadi River on the Athmallik-Dhalpur road, was also inaugurated, alongside a 600-meter bridge over the Tel River in the Rakdor-Fasad road, and another bridge over the Mahanadi River on the Boudh-Marjakud link road. 

Foundation stones were laid for forthcoming projects, including the development of the Shri Shri Achyutananda Das Gadi in Nemala, Cuttack, at an estimated cost of Rs 25 crore, and the Maa Ugratara Shakti Pitha in Khordha district, projected at Rs 32.14 crore. Furthermore, groundwork commenced for the construction of a 1738-meter bridge over the Mahanadi River on the Baunsuni-Birmaharajpur link road in Boudh district. 

The inauguration of key infrastructural projects such as the flyover in Joda, Keonjhar, and various bridges across rivers is expected to enhance communication networks and reduce travel time, ultimately benefiting millions of residents.
