CM sanctions funds for three bridge projects in Bargarh 

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik sanctioned funds worth Rs 39 crore for the construction of three bridges in Bargarh on 16 August 2023. 

This will benefit around 7.25 people of the district. The projects are expected to meet the communication requirements of the people and help boost the socio-economic development of the area.  

Of the three projects, one major bridge is to be constructed at Barpali over the Zealot canal of Barpali. An amount of Rs 15 crore will be spent on constructing this bridge which will be 120 metre long. This will connect Bargarh and Barpali block headquarters and provide a communication facility to the district headquarters. 

The second bridge will be built over the Aagan canal in Bargarh municipal area at an outlay of Rs 12 crore. This bridge of 60-metre-long will connect Parpali and Bheden block headquarters with Bargarh district headquarters. This will benefit around 2.50 lakh people. 

Similarly, a third bridge will be constructed on a Sarala canal with an expenditure of Rs 12 crore. This will be 150-metre-long bridge and connect Bhatli with Bargarh and Attabira block headquarters. This will benefit another 2.50 lakh people.
