GAIL (India) is speeding up the construction work on the 3,400-km Jagdishpur (Uttar Pradesh) -Haldia (West Bengal) & Bokaro – Dhamra Natural Gas Pipeline (JHBDPL) viz., Urja Ganga Pipeline Project, by awarding contracts worth Rs 10,500 crore.
The company has completed awards for all major contracts worth Rs 10,500 crore for pipe supply and laying for the integrated pipeline project. GAIL (India) has recently placed an order worth Rs. 475 crore for supply of steel pipes of approx. 280 km. to provide pipeline connectivity from Durgapur to Haldia, which includes spur line to Kolkata in West Bengal.
The pipeline has already reached Barauni and GAIL (India) is ready for supplying gas to refinery and upcoming fertilizer plant. The pipeline also supplies Natural Gas for Patna City Gas Distribution network (CGD).
