The Odisha government is planning to transform the Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla into a Centre of Excellence in Sambalpur.
The Chief Secretary of Odisha , Suresh Chandra Mahapatra briefed about sanctioning of funds worth Rs 1,000 crore towards the development of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla. After visiting VSSUT along with the 5T Secretary VK Pandian and Technical Education Secretary Hemant Sharma, the Chief Secretary briefed the media about sanctioning of Rs 1,000 crore by the state and a masterplan will be prepared for the technical institute and it will be developed as a centre of excellence. Also, around 80 acre land has been identfied for camous extension and student strength will be doubled from 5000 to 10,000.
