Ground breaking ceremony held for Tea Packaging Unit at Gopalpur SEZ

TATA Steel Special Economic Zone Ltd. (TSSEZL) performed groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of an industrial shed for its proposed tea packaging unit by a group company TATA Global Beverages Ltd. (TGBL)

The proposed tea plant will have a capacity of 36 million kgs and likely to be operational by December 2020. The project estimated to cost Rs 100 crore will generate employment for around 650 persons.

The ceremony was attended by Mr Vijay Amruta Kulange, IAS, Collector & District Magistrate, Ganjam, Mr Brijesh Kumar Rai, IPS, SP, Ganjam, Mr. S S Malhotra, Vice President – Operations (South Asia), TGBL and Mr. Arun Misra, Chairman TSSEZL & VP (RM), Tata Steel, in the presence of other government officials, customers of the industrial park and officials from TGBL, Tata Steel and TSSEZL.

TATA Global Beverages Ltd. is the flagship company of TATA Group, manufactures Tata Tea, Tetley, Himalayan natural mineral water, Tata Water Plus and Tata Gluco+, Good Earth tea, Grand Coffee and Eight O’clock coffee.
