Shiva Cement Limited, the Odisha-based cement company, and a subsidiary of JSW Cement Ltd, has received nod from the State Pollution Control Board for its clinker plant in Odisha.
The board has given its CTO (consent to operate) approval for a 0.66 mtpa clinker unit and 9 MW WHR (Waste Heat Recovery unit in Sundergarh district of Odisha. The company is setting up a 1.36 million tpa clinker unit, which includes a grinding unit, crushing plant, and a waste heat recovery unit. The project was awarded to Thyssenkrupp Industries India and Larsen & Toubro. As of December 2022, around 90 per cent work on the project has been completed.
