Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik sanctioned Rs 101 crore for the construction of three new large bridges in Malkangiri district.
Among these, one of the bridges will be constructed over the Khaliagarh canal from Yantri to Dhakpadar road. The project will involve an investment of Rs 20 crore. This will benefit the people of Pansput and Yantri Gram Panchayat in the district.
The second bridge will be constructed over Kumudaguda river from Ghanbedha to Kodigandhi road with an investment of Rs 27 crore. The people of Pansput, Yantri and Andrapalli Gram Panchayats will be benefitted by the construction of the bridge.
The third bridge will be constructed over the Machhkund river. This will connect the Biseguda to the Yantri. The 372-meter-long bridge will involve an estimated investment of Rs 54 crore. This project will benefit the people of Yantri, Papermetla and Andrapalli Gram Panchayats.
