The Union Ministry of Environment, forest & Climate Change (MoEF) has given the forest clearance for the Khurda-Bolangir Railway line between Km 112 (Dasapalla, Km 105/875) to Km 180 (Purunakatak, Km 180/750). The clearance for the 68 Km line was accorded as per the recommendations made by the Government of Odisha.
The 112 to 180 Kilometer stretch of the Khurda-Bolangir line forms an important part of the ongoing project and required forest clearance on time for early completion. The land acquisition for the project was completed by the state government and handed over to the Railways.
