Work on the lower Suktel irrigation project is going on full swing. In a recent visit to the site, CS Ms Anu Garg, IAS reviewed the progress of Lower Suktel Irrigation project with field officials.
The mechanical works of spillway is likely to be completed by June 2023. The quick finalisation of design of plate girder and right dyke and barrow area emphasised.
The construction of spillway is being executed by SNNR projects. The scope of work involves, construction of spillways, earthwork excavation, reinforcement, concrete etc in connection with Lower Suktel Irrigation Project. Total number of spillways will be 11, span of spillway will be 224.0 mtrs and height of spillway will be 41.0 mtrs.
