Naveen Patnaik inaugurates projects worth Rs 1,537 crore

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on 23 July 2021, launched three industrial projects and performed ground breaking ceremonies of eleven other projects through video conferencing. These projects will entail an investment of Rs 1,537.07 crore and likely generate 3,773 persons.

These projects are diversified across various sectors like in renewable energy, metal and downstream, textile and apparel, fertilizer, plastic and food processing. Some major promoters include Aditya Birla, IFFCO, Supreme Industries and Britannia Industries.

The three projects inaugurated are;

1. 1. A Solar Power Plant in Bolangir district – by Aditya Birla Renewables Ltd. with investment of Rs 352.50 crore
   2. An Aluminium Dross Refining Unit at Banjari, Jharsuguda by Runaya Refining LLP with investment of Rs 64.43 crore
   3. A Garment manufacturing unit at Chhatabar, Khorda by Wild Lotus Fashions with investment of Rs 20 crore

Another eleven projects for which groundbreaking performed were;

1. 1. A Sulphuric Acid Expansion Project (capacity addition of 6,60,000 metric tonnes) at Paradip, Jagatsinghpur by Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), with an investment of Rs 400 crore.
   2. An Iron Ore Beneficiation plant of 1.50 million tpa and a Pellet Plant of 1.20 million tpa at Lahunipada, Sundargarh by KAI International against an investment of Rs 265.72 crore.
   3. A manufacturing unit for production of Plastic pipes, PVC water storage tanks and allied plastic products of capacity 55,000 matric tonne per annum at Khuntuni, Cuttack by Supreme Industries Ltd. with an investment of Rs 151.30 crore
   4. An expansion project of Britannia Industries’ manufacturing unit of Biscuits, Cakes, Rusk and other bakery products with an additional annual capacity of 30,000 matric tonne  in Khordha with an investment of Rs 93.60 crore.
   5. A footwear manufacturing unit at Champajhar, Khordha by Niren Kumar Anand with an investment of Rs 62.44 crore.
   6. An HDPE and Thermoplastic pipes manufacturing unit by Astral Polytechnik Ltd. at Ramdaspur, Cuttack with an investment of Rs 60.06 crore.
   7. A Food processing unit and cold storage facilities by Jay Bharat Spices at Ramdaspur, Cuttack with investment of Rs 50.10 crore.
   8. An Offset printing & Book Binding unit at Jaymangal, Khordha by ​Printech Offset Private Ltd. with investment of Rs 6.74 crore.
   9. A Biomedical Waste Management plant at Choudwar, Cuttack by ​Renewable Envirogic (P) Ltd. with  investment of Rs 5.33 crore.
   10. Organic Fertilisers & manure processing unit at Choudwar, Cuttack by Arnab Care & Food with investment of Rs 2.20 crore.
   11. A food processing unit for Noodles, Papad and Pickles at Choudwar, Cuttack by Pratistha Ventures with investment of Rs 2.65 crore.
