State cleared eight projects worth Rs 1,214 crore

On 12th March 2021, the State-level single window clearance authority (SLSWCA) headed by chief secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra cleared eight industrial projects in Odisha.

These eight projects spanning across various sectors will attract investment of Rs 1214 crore with employment generation to 2400 persons.

Of the eight projects, two were five-star hotels by ITC Limited with an investment of Rs 141 crore and another by Falcon Real Estate Private Limited with an investment of Rs 120 crore. Britannia Industries Limited expansion project Worth Rs 94 crore, at its Khurda Manufacturing unit also got the state government’s nod. Another project by Sarvesh Refractories private limited for expansion its Sundargarh unit with an additional investment of Rs 123 crore has been cleared.

The investment proposals for two grain-based distillery plants by Indalc Spirits Pvt Ltd in Deogarh with an investment of Rs 215 crore was also cleared and another by Mash Spirits Pvt Ltd with an investment of Rs 204 crore in Jharsuguda district. The SLSWCA also gave its nod for a 2.75 mtpa iron ore beneficiation plant and 1.2 mtpa pellet plant by Energise Minerals Private Limited at Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district with investment of Rs 256 crore. Purv Packaging Private Limited’s proposal for a cast polypropylene film manufacturing unit by at also got state’s nod. The unit will come up at the Paradip plastic park with an investment of Rs 60 crore.
